Editing and Deleting Events¶
To edit: Double-click an event, or right-click → Edit.
To delete: Select an event and press Delete, or right-click → Delete. If the event has attendees, you'll be asked if you want to send cancellation emails.
To move: Drag an event to a new time slot.
To resize: Drag the bottom edge of an event in Day or Week view to change its end time.
Recurring Events¶
When creating or editing an event, click Recurrence to set a repeat pattern:
- Daily — every N days
- Weekly — specific days of the week
- Monthly — same date each month, or same weekday (e.g. second Tuesday)
- Yearly — annually on the same date
- Custom — enter a custom RRULE if needed
Editing a Recurring Event¶
When you edit or delete a recurring event, you choose the scope:
- This event only — changes only this occurrence, leaving other occurrences unchanged
- This and following events — changes this occurrence and all future occurrences
- All events — changes every occurrence in the series
Inviting Attendees¶
In the event editor, use the Attendees tab to add people:
- Start typing a name or email in the attendee field.
- Select from the autocomplete list or type a full address.
- Attendees are listed with their RSVP status.
Scheduling Assistant¶
Click the Scheduling tab in the event editor to see a free/busy grid for all attendees. This shows blocked time for your organization's users so you can find a slot that works for everyone.
Meeting Invites¶
When you save an event with attendees, Vantage sends each attendee a meeting invite email. Attendees see an Accept / Tentative / Decline prompt in the invite email and in their own Vantage reading pane.
Accepting or declining sends an RSVP reply back to the organizer, and updates the attendee list on the event.
Responding to an Invite¶
When you receive a meeting invite:
- The event appears on your calendar with a dashed border and "Needs Action" status immediately, before you even open the email.
- Open the invite email to see the Accept / Tentative / Decline buttons.
- Click your response — the organizer is notified, the dashed border is removed, and the event shows your status.
If the organizer cancels the event, the event is automatically removed from your calendar.
Calendars (Multiple Calendars)¶
You can have multiple calendars and color-code them for different areas of your life or work.
To create a calendar: Right-click the Calendars section in the left pane → New calendar.
To change a calendar's color: Right-click a calendar → Edit.
To toggle visibility: Click the checkbox next to a calendar name to show or hide its events on the grid.
Each event belongs to one calendar. You can move events between your own calendars by editing the event.
CalDAV Sync¶
Vantage supports CalDAV, so you can sync your calendars with:
- iOS Calendar (iPhone/iPad)
- macOS Calendar
- Android via DAVx⁵
- Thunderbird
- Any CalDAV-compatible client
Ask your administrator for the CalDAV server address. You'll sign in with your full email address and an app password (not your main password). Create an app password in Settings → App Passwords.
CalDAV URL format: https://api.yourdomain.com/dav/cal/yourname@yourdomain.com/
Changes made in a CalDAV client sync back to Vantage in real time and appear in the webmail calendar immediately.
